Wim was a young human living in the galaxy during the early New Republic Era, sharing a home with his father, Wendle, on their planet. In 9 ABY, Wim stumbled upon an ancient starship hidden in the woods near their city. Along with Neel and two other friends, KB and Fern, they explored the ship, inadvertently activating it and becoming stranded in space. 

The group then teamed up with the ship's droid, SM-33, and a Force-sensitive individual named Jod Na Nawood, embarking on a quest to navigate their way back home while evading a band of pirates.
